Favorites fall as World Cup frenzy peaks.

Mahi ke matwalo, you don't have much to celebrate huh? Making an imposing total of 328 and not been able to defend it? Tch Tch tCh....!

India and Srilanka ,the hot favorites of the tournament were beaten by the dark horses of the tournament.

Pakistan won comprehensively over the home team in front of  a crowd of 35,000+ Srilankan  crowd.This match showed and proved that Pakistan does poses the best and the most dangerous bowling attack amongst the other 14 teams playing in the World cup.But it has exposed the weakness in fielding and most importantly the weakness of the keeper,Kamran.
Pakistan needs to work on this.

If any one who watched start sports after the match must have heard Harsha the host of the pre-post match discussion program, criticized Team Pakistan, calling them as lucky winner and been the most pathetic fielding side.

But,cruelly enough,Team India's performance in the field was a slap on his face as they missed out run outs, dropped catches and were slow in the field unable to stop the flow of runs.It was just the English batmen's folly that they were made to share the two points with India in the end.

But over all,it was a very good weekend for me and other cricket maniacs out there.

I got my fingers crossed for another upset tomorrow when Srilanka meet Kenya, who in their last ICC WC match have beaten them comprehensively by 40+ runs.

And of course,Best of Luck to the LALA eleven, fro their match on thursday.

Hi,

Indeed Indian fans will be disappointed by tie of this match. One cannot ignore that fact that strong batting strength of India is negated by weak bowling.Anyways format of the game is different this time and allows every team 1-2 hiccups or shocks.

Mahi's men are burdened with huge expectations and there is no doubt that they will deliver. This match will work as wake up call.

There are more than 6 match winners in Indian team and one can say confidently that India will play Final.Lets see who the opponent will be.

@Vinod I wish against all the odds that there is a PAK-HIND final this time.

Hamza,

I must admire Pakistan team for coming out strongly from the situation they were in for last few months due to spot fixing scandal.Afridi is leading from front.Best thing about Pakistan team is that they are working as unit this time, hope they cross quarterfinal and Semi finals barrier.

My confidence on Indian team can be considered as case of misplaced patriotism devoid of cricketing logic but thats what cricket or any other game is all about..love for country and the desire to see it excel.

Pakistan-India final is possibility, entire India will stop that day,Victory will enormously boost morale of Common people and loss will lead entire country into deep depression.

@Vinod,

Thanks for your admiration.
As You might know that Odis are often decided upon luck that's why Pakistan's chances are much more than others.
As per Team India,I must admit and appreciate that it is undoubtedly the strongest team now.But if they have a bad day, they will lose the cup.

Anyways,I wish my dream comes true,
and the final is held between Pak and India.
Yea,if this occurs Pakistan will come to a halt that day too,and victory will bring glee to the hearts of the hurt people from the evil wave of terrorism.and a defeat will surely depress them.
But us Cricket maniac will enjoy the game and praise the better team of that day.

Thanks for dropping by my blog again.
